Cruising into Santa Cruz

Half Moon Bay to Santa Cruz: Sail Date January 18, 2014. Hours at sea: 9.

Pulled up anchor at 7:00 and left Half Moon Bay. We had no wind. We started out the harbor entrance with breaking waves and swell from 5 to 6ft., rapidly increasing to 8ft at 14 seconds apart. We were rolling around like a rubber ducky in a spastic toddlers bathtub. We soon found out what was not stowed properly!

Things calmed down, as we got closer to Santa Cruz. Genny, Steve, and Lizzy were there to greet us at the guest doc! We had a great night and lovely walk on the beach the next day. I think we even talked them into joining us in Baja!!
