If you had to be stranded on a deserted island…

Bonne Bell Lip gloss, Walkman with Rubber Soul tape and a Swiss Army knife. This was my answer when asked at 6th grade summer camp what 3 things I would want if stranded on a deserted island. These days I would take water, a fishing pole, and snorkel gear. Daniel, Anne and I spent four amazing days exploring Isla Espiritu Santo, an almost deserted island.

The island is a National park located about 20 miles north of La Paz. Layers of pink, ivory and black rock line secluded coves filled with clear turquoise water, surrounded by white sandy beaches. We spent our time in several coves snorkeling, hiking, reading, fishing, looking at sea turtles and staring at the scenery.
